Managing the District's asset is a function under Facilities Planning and Management (FPM), Mail Services and Asset Management.
Requesting excess property:
Excess property are District-owned furniture, equipment and supplies that are no longer needed by a department, and are only available for Butte College departments to request and reuse for District needs. For a list of available excess property, click here.
If departments are interested in any excess property or would like to schedule a time to view the items, they should submit a FPM work order indicating the description of the item and quantity desired.
Declaring excess property:
District property should never be given away to individuals or external sources, including vendors or non-profit organizations; or throw away or salvage excess property without going through the proper process. To declare property as excess, please do the following:
For electronic and computer equipment, contact User Support Services at 530-895-2888. They will coordinate with FPM to dispose the equipment properly, and update our District inventory.
